Breaking Barriers Rehab Center, BBRC, located in Troy, Michigan, provides caring and quality treatment in the metro Detroit area for individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury.

We offer both individual and group based programs because most problems encountered in life are problems of relationships with others, from the family to the workplace to social activities. Dealing with specific problems in both the individual and group formats allows clients to work on their issues in the mode that often feels most familiar and comfortable to them. In a group setting, client problems can be acted out directly, as opposed to symbolically and thus addressed more effectively.

Furthermore, members can share their resources and their insights and develop new perceptions as they see themselves interacting in different ways. In addition, group therapy allows the clients to see that they are not alone in the struggle to regain control of their lives after a brain injury.
